Established in 1965, the Iowa State Champion Auctioneer is someone who has achieved the prestigious title of State Champion Auctioneer at the Iowa Auctioneer Contest, a notable annual event held during the Conference and Iowa State Fair.
The Champion Auctioneer is determined through a preliminary round, where they sell three items, followed by a final round involving the sale of three items and answering interview questions.
Typically, the final round and Champion is held and determined at the Iowa State Fair in August of each year.
The contest winner assumes the role of an industry representative for the year ahead and joins a select group of individuals in Iowa holding the title of Iowa State Champion Auctioneer.
